About Qlink Wireless

QLink Wireless is one of America’s fastest growing Lifeline service providers. The company provides no cost cell phones with no cost monthly airtime to tens of millions low-income Americans. Customers choose from various no cost monthly minute plans. Cell phone service includes nationwide coverage and the ability to call nationally or internationally. Subscribers enjoy no monthly bills, no fees, no credit checks, no surcharges and no contracts. The company also offers affordable prepaid wireless cell phone service, for Lifeline and non-Lifeline subscribers.

Qlink Wireless Lifeline Assistance

QLink Wireless can provide no cost and discounted wireless services because we are an approved provider of the Federal Lifeline Assistance program. The Lifeline Assistance program was created in 1984 by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) under Ronald Reagan, and updated in 1996. It allows low-income individuals who cannot afford a mobile phone to obtain one at affordable rates, ensuring they have basic communication services that help them live safely and productively.

The Lifeline Assistance program is funded by collective fees that construct the Universal Service Fund (USF). These USF fees are collected by all wireless service providers. Created in 1997 by the FCC, the USF meets universal service goals to monetarily contribute towards the safeguarding and advancement of accessible and reasonable communication services.

QLink Wireless offers no cost cell phones and Lifeline service to eligible Americans who are currently enrolled in a government benefit program or meet certain income criteria for their state. Examples of government benefit programs that meet qualifying criteria include Food Stamps, Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income. Particular eligibilities vary from each state. Lifeline service is limited to one account per household, and individuals cannot have another Lifeline or Link-Up subscription.
